What is Seabin?
The Seabin is an innovative, floating device designed to clean up marine litter by capturing floating debris, microplastics, and even oil from waterways. Installed in marinas, harbors, and other calm water locations, the Seabin works by sucking in water from the surface, filtering out waste, and releasing clean water back into the environment. Powered either by solar energy or connected to a dock power source, it can operate 24/7, collecting trash such as plastic bottles, bags, and even tiny particles as small as 2 mm. The goal of the Seabin Project is not only to reduce ocean pollution but also to raise awareness about the broader issue of plastic waste in the oceans, promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship.
